🚐✨ South Coast NSW Road Trip in a Motorhome – Our First Van Life Experience!

For our holidays last year, we did a full round trip from Melbourne to Adelaide β€” so this time, we thought, why not explore a bit closer to home? We planned a road trip around the stunning south coast of NSW, and this time… we did it in style β€” with a motorhome from Camplify! Kitchen, bed, bathroom, even a fridge β€” the works. Basically, a tiny home on wheels.

🌴 Day 1: Sydney β†’ Jervis Bay β†’ Ulladulla

We kicked off our trip from Sydney, heading down toward Ulladulla, but of course, we had to stop at the breathtaking Jervis Bay on the way. After around three hours of smooth driving, we made it to Hyams Beach β€” and yep, the sand really is that white. Unreal. Soft, powdery, and almost glowing under the afternoon sun β€” it’s the kind of place that makes you forget the rest of the world exists.

A little over an hour later, we parked up at a cozy motorhome park in Ulladulla. Freshened up, had some dinner, and called it a night β€” wrapped up in the comfort of our little van, with the sounds of the coast just outside.

🐳 Day 2: Batemans Bay β†’ Pambula River β†’ Eden

The next morning, we hit the road early, heading south toward Eden. On the way, we made a quick detour to check out Batemans Bay and stop by the peaceful Pambula River. Nothing like driving through sleepy coastal towns with the ocean peeking through the trees every few kilometers.

🍳🌊 Day 3: Breakfast with a View & Whale Tales

On day three, we planned something a little special β€” breakfast by the beach. We set up by the water, cooked up some eggs, made toast, and sat down with avo toast and a bacon & egg combo, all while watching the waves roll in. Genuinely one of those β€œis this real life?” kind of mornings.

After breakfast, we visited the Eden Killer Whale Museum, where we saw this giant whale skeleton that made us feel tiny in the best way possible. It’s one of those unexpected little stops that turns out to be a highlight.

πŸšπŸ’‘ Final Thoughts: Should You Try Van Life?

Honestly, we had no idea how we’d feel about sleeping in a van when we started this trip. But between the well-equipped caravan parks β€” with power, kitchens, water supply, and chill vibes β€” and the freedom to wake up in a new place every morning, we were hooked. If you’re even thinking about trying a motorhome trip, we’d 100% recommend it. It’s a whole new way to travel.

Van life = slow mornings, scenic drives, spontaneous stops, and stories you’ll talk about forever. πŸ›£οΈπŸŒŠ
